After being called in to enhance a client’s Business Object Universe to enable the production of a new set of SRA reports, we were then asked to ensure that the solution could be maintained in house. It was agreed that this presented an opportunity to improve the skill level of the entire performance team and we were commissioned to put together a bespoke workshop covering an introduction to the principles of SQL, derived tables, joins and object creation in Business Objects designer. Therefore performing a key part of any project – knowledge transfer.
The course was well received and provided an ideal opportunity to handover the documentation of the Universe development work and was delivered to 6 members of staff at a cost which may well have been charged to train just 1 person on an externally provided and less focused and localised training event.
